Yoga is an active process of building up physical strength and connecting body, mind, soul. Reiki is a life-force-energy that heal the physical body, mental body, emotional level and spiritual level.
How Reiki Enhances Your Yoga Practice
Reiki deepens awareness of true self.
According to Yoga Sutra, the aim of self yoga practice is to find stillness in order to know our true self, the real self that hidden deep inside our heart. Reiki energy flows into our chakras to help us be more rooted in our physical body, be more connected to our intuition, and be more open-minded to receive and to give compassion love with inner wisdom. When our energetic anatomy is balanced, we can see our nature, true self.
Reiki clears repressed feelings and memories.
When we practice asana, there's some time that we felt sudden anger or sadness on the yoga mat, and were reminded some traumas in the past or relationships that we still feel hurt. Reiki help us to remove the negative energies that are still with us from the memories and the past. It can transform us into what's for our best and let go of the past.
Reiki helps us get deeper relaxation.
Many of the receivers that I found in a Reiki session have naturally fallen asleep and have felt significant relaxation after then. Since Reiki energy is flowing all over our body while it is also healing and releasing pain on both physical and mental levels, we become more opened and relaxed naturally. It helps and works well especially on those who are suffering from insomnia. It is practical to apply Reiki on self or students while doing savasana in yoga practice or classes.
Reiki enhances mindfulness
We know that practicing yoga is not just simply doing asana, Reiki is not just a simple hands-on healing, either. The system of Usui Reiki teaches meditation, breathwork, blessings, initiations (attunements), mantras, symbols and the precepts. The precepts are Reiki principles that are similar to yamas and niyamas in yoga sutra. Here are Reiki Principles:
“ Just for today, do not worry.
Just for today, don’t get angry.
Just for today, be grateful.
Just for today, work hard. (meditative practice, work on ourselves)
Just for today, be kind to others. “ (everything)
The Reiki Principles help us be fully focused on the mat by encouraging ourselves to release anger and worry one day at a time. While giving Reiki treatment, it requires deep concentration, in the meanwhile, it also enhances your mindfulness by doing meditation while placing your hands on others.

靈氣能清除壓抑的感情和記憶
